Agenda Point 1
The role of physical space is undergoing a profound shift. Once built purely for function, today’s environments– from flagship retail stores and entertainment venues to airport lounges and cultural institutions– are expected to do much more. Spaces are tasked with creating emotionally resonant, strategically designed, and tech-enabled spaces that deepen brand engagement and deliver long-term value.
Across industries, decision-makers are responding to this by asking a new question: How can physical space become a platform for storytelling, differentiation, and commercial performance, yet also account for relevance in a world that grows more complex by the hour. But, designing for relevance is no easy task.
Cities are transforming rapidly. Economic pressure from retail vacancies and underused commercial space is forcing developers to rethink traditional zoning and utility. Consumers expect more flexibility, humanity, and emotional value from the spaces they inhabit.
Meanwhile, brands are navigating a fragmented media landscape and digital saturation. Physical presence has re-emerged as a powerful brand channel, but it’s often under-leveraged or misaligned with strategic goals.
Join Journey for A New Era in Placemaking as we discuss how physical space can be reimagined to be more immersive, culturally attuned, and strategically valuable to brand platforms.
You’ll hear from leading voices in experience design, real estate, brand strategy, and urban innovation as we explore how to transform real-world environments into flexible, culturally rich, and commercially valuable ecosystems.
Design today can no longer be treated as a decoration. It must operate as a business-critical capability, one that shapes environments with meaning and creates spaces that build loyalty and fuel growth.
